Helen originally planned on doing this segment with me
but we had miscalculated. We thought it was only 4.6 miles long but it was
really 6.7 miles long, and we needed to be back at the farm in Maine so I could
bring a steer to the butcher at 3pm, so Helen opted to just shuttle me from the
trailheads. There was a climb for a couple of miles and then just rolling hills
through smooth terrain and I made this 6.7 miles in 2 1/2 hours.
