Slackpacked 20 miles from US Rte 20 in Lee, MA to Gulf Road, Dalton, MA today. Got a very late start - 10am! That's what happens when you have your wife
around and a hotel available...
Except for an initial climb and ended descent these 20
miles were nearly flat, very unusual for this part of New England. The terrain was often rocky and muddy,
though, so I could not move super-fast.
I still did the 20 miles in 7 hours and 45 minutes which is a good
pace.

The last 1 1/2
miles of the day were walking on asphalt through the little town of Dalton, MA:
Talked to 'Happy' again today. He stopped me and wanted to know where the
name 'TARman' came from :-)
