Helen hiked 8 miles with me today from Gulf Road, Dalton,
MA to US 8 Cheshire MA.
There were heavy rains all last night through 10am this
morning. We stayed late in the hotel and
had a late breakfast in Pittsfield and managed out-wait the rain. However, the streams on the trail were very
swollen and it was impossible for Helen to cross them without getting wet:
